Overview
Ashina Huaidao was the Tang's qaghan for the Nushibi tribes from 704 to 708. Efforts to install him in the west in 699–700 failed because the Türgesh now held the old Western Türk lands.
Rise to Power
He succeeded Huseluo in 704.
Rule and Achievements
The record of his reign is thin; the Tang histories give little more than his title and dates.
Legacy
His son Ashina Xin was the last Tang-appointed western qaghan.
