Overview
Norov was Setsen Khan of the Khalkha from 1683 to 1688. His short reign fell in the years when the feud between the Tüsheet and Zasagt Khans was drawing the Dzungars into Khalkha.
Rise to Power
Third son of Babu, he succeeded his father in 1683.
Rule and Achievements
- Ruled the eastern Khalkha as tensions grew between the Tüsheet Khan and the Zasagt Khan, and with the Dzungars
Legacy
His reign ended in 1688, when Galdan's invasion drove the Khalkha south towards the Qing frontier.
