Overview
Timur Malik, a son of Urus Khan, was the last khan of the left wing before Tokhtamysh. Timurid sources describe him as brave but given to pleasure.
Rise to Power
He succeeded his brother Toqtaqiya in 1377.
Rule and Achievements
- Defeated Tokhtamysh at first, but lost the support of his nobles
Legacy
Tokhtamysh, backed by Timur, defeated and killed him in 1378 or 1379, took the left wing, and in 1380 took Sarai and reunited the Golden Horde.
