Overview
Xi'erzhi is the Khitan king the Tang histories record in the Xiantong era (860–874); the Liao History's Bala Qaghan is identified with him.

He followed Yelan Qaghan.

- Sent envoys to the Tang court more than once
- Ruled as the Khitan tribes grew stronger in the vacuum left by the Uyghurs
Legacy
The Tang histories say that on his death a kinsman, Qinde, succeeded him. His dates are a modern estimate.
