Overview
Jingqiong succeeded his father Renyu as ruler of the Ganzhou Uyghurs. The record is thin: the Chinese histories give little more than the embassies sent and the title received.
Rise to Power
He came to power around 960, as the Song dynasty was founded.
Rule and Achievements
- Sent embassies to the Song from 961 and accepted its overlordship
- His envoys included Buddhist monks and nuns, an early sign of the kingdom's turn towards Buddhism
Legacy
The sources give 975 for the end of his reign, though one account runs it to 983. Yeluohe Mili'e followed him.
